Take Time to Plan 2007

It’s December 31′st and I know that most people have not yet taken the time to plan what they want to accomplish for 2007 yet!

The year is almost over and I hope that most of you have achieved the goals you set for yourselves of that you at least came close to achieving them.

As I look back over the years I am amazed at what I have accomplished when I have taken the time to set a goal, write it down, make a plan and stay focused on the results. In fact, if I actually take all the steps mentioned I will achieve every goal I set. Sometimes, I might have to adjust the time and allow a little more time to achieve the goal, or I may change the goal midstream to make it more realistic. I know for a fact that I have accomplished more every time I have taken the time to set goals than I ever would have had I not set goals over the years!

What are you determined to achieve in 2007? Do you want to sell more than 2006? Do you want to sponsor more people than 2006? Do you want to earn more in 2007? How much more do you want to earn? How are you going to earn the additional income? What are you willing to change to reach your goals.

Yes, you will have to change! It’s a proven fact that if you keep doing what you are doing you will keep earning what you are earning. You will need to change some of your actions to increase your earnings. You may have to do more parties, sponsor more people and spend more time training the people you have as well as the new people you bring into your company.

In the grand scheme of things I still think that Direct Selling is a fantastic vehicle that can be used to help you achieve your dreams and goals. Please take an hour today to write down what you want to accomplish in 2007.  Make your plan and begin working on reaching your goals! Enjoy the last day of 2006! 

Christmas in our new home

I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas and that you took time to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family.  We finally moved into our new home on December 16′th and the move was not without it’s challenges. For all of you who are running a business from your home you know the challenges that come from being without the technology we are used to on a day to day business and that was the hardest for me to handle. Wow, I never knew how dependant I am on the internet and telephone until I had to go without both of them for a few days. Of course had I been given all the proper information when I called for the installation it would have probably went smoother. After five trips out to the new house our tv’s and our internet are finally working! For all of you who tried to email or contact me forgive me if it takes awhile to catch up. Our new office phone number is (248) 625-4897.

We are loving our new home and after one week of staying up late and getting up early we had unpacked enough and had our tree and a few decorations up. We had family over for Christmas Eve and Christmas day and had an enjoyable time relaxing and entertaining.

We are still unpacking the 12′ x 42′ storage area over the garage and figure if we take one box a day we will clean it out in about a year! I tried to part with some of my treasures I had accumulated over the past thirty years of living in our old home but I don’t think I got rid of enough! Hey, you never know when you might need that thing-a-majig.

Anyway, we are in, and slowly but surely we are getting back to normal around here. I think I’ll be here for another thirty years because moving is not my cup of tea! Enjoy the rest of the holiday week and get ready to have a tremendous 2007!

Don’t Miss December Sales

If your company has small items and or items that are great for Christmas gifts you should order a few to have on hand for customers looking for last minute gift ideas. People are shopping for Christmas and other sesonal holidays and if you don’t take the time to let your cutsomers know you have gift items ready for them to purchase they will go somewhere else to shop. It’s your job to let your customers know the services you offer. I suggest you call some of your best customers beginning now and offer to help them whittle down their shopping list!

I’m Living my Dreams Again!

Well everyone, most of you know that I am a firm believer that we can get everything in life that we set out to get. I am realizing another of my dreams and goals on December 16′th! We’ll be moving into our new custom home that we have been building since May. It seems like it has been forever since we first decided last January to build a larger home to have room for a larger office, plus space for Larry and I to go to stay out of each other’s way since he retired June 1′st. Of course we have an extra bedroom to accomodate all of the essential baby equipment that comes along with being a grandma and grandpa to ten-month old Nickolas!

This home is exactly what I have been visualizing over the years! It’s spacious and airy and the view of the 15 acres of woods off the back of our yard is magnificent. We’ve done only a little to the landscape so far and the rest we will finish in the Spring but I know where the waterfall and pond will be and I know where the swimming pool will be. You see, I envision them everyday!

How well are you visualizing what you want to happen in your life? You do understant that you are receiving exactly what you have been visualizing and seeing yourself receiving! If you are not receiving what you feel you are worth than it’s time to start focusing on what you want to happen, rather than what you don’t want to happen. We can’t change the economy or the attitudes of people around us but we can change ourselves and what we are attracting. Our mind is powerful and God has provided us with an abundance in this world. It’s time you began to claim your abundance!

Remember, most of the time the six inches between our ears is the only thing that is stopping us from achieving our dreams! Clean the cobwebs out of your head and move forward beginning today!

December Open Houses

December is a great time to have your own Holiday Open House if you have not already done so. It is best to select a weekend and include a Friday and Saturday and possibly Sunday if you have the time. You don’t have to mark down your merchandise but if you have samples that will be discontinued soon and you want to get additional money to purchase new items you can offer a percentage off. I have also offered a larger percentage off based on the amount of money spent at the Open House. Example: 10% discount on $50 – $100, 15% on $100 – $199, and 20% on purchases of $200 or more. Make sure you have an “Open Date Card” available with your special January dates so you can begin to fill your calendar now for January.

You can invite past hostesses and customers, new friends and acquaintances and spouses if you have a product that makes a great gift for Christmas. If you take time to get a “Wish List” before you invite a spouse you will make his Christmas shopping so much easier for him and he may spend a little more!

Anyway you slice it, it just makes sense to open your home for a few days to get additional sales and bookings for December. Set your date and get on the phone to invite people now!
